CaptureA total of 150 domestic and international designers debuted their collections on and off the runway in New York and at The Reef in Los Angeles some time ago. The Style Fashion Week integrated elements of fashion and causes amongst their platforms and accepted the challenge of aiding global unity by shining a light on Armenian & Rwandan genocide descendant designers. These designers campaign alongside #iAGree to widen people's knowledge of crimes against humanity. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PWT83IBksYs The #iAGree campaign centers on uniting people who agree with human rights. The campaign appeals to individuals with the common belief that human lives are valuable. Moreover, group members believe that God has a purpose for everyone. Horrific events like the Holocaust, the Armenian Genocide, etc. are considered not just acts of crime against a single ethnic group, but against all of the humanity. The #iAGree campaign argues that such offenses should be seen as genocides, condemned and prevented from happening again in the future. Style Fashion Week both in New York and Los Angeles launched collections of many genocide survivors and descendants. Multi-talented Armenian architect and designer Vicken Derderian was present at the event and recently appeared in Women's Wear Daily. The talented individual released his SS'16 assortment of stunning designs, which proved highly popular with fashion insiders. Celebrity designers including Armenian Pol Atteu of Beverly Hills were at the event. He dazzled everyone with the opening of his show when Armenian pop artist and opera singer, Mister X took to the stage to sing a live rendition of 'Style Me Pink.' The song was released to raise money for the Susan G. Komen Foundation, which focuses on the on-going fight against breast cancer. Also, Albert Kisso debuted his most recent collection of breathtaking red carpet dresses and evening range. As if that wasn't exciting enough, Rwandan genocide survivors, Reuben and Levi of the Uwi Twins were invited on the runway! Individuals, the press, and media admire them on a global level. The Style Fashion Week opened its runways in agreement with #iAGree to debut many collections to raise awareness concerning crimes that go against humanity. The event comes at a crucial time as Syria, and many other parts of the world are at the hands of mass killings and destruction. Style Fashion Week is proud of supporting gifted and talented people from all over the world, regardless of their gender, ethnicity, race or religion. The event encourages anyone with a promising talent. The event is an excellent platform for such individuals to gain brand recognition and boost their credibility. Many platforms will be put together in cities including Rwanda and Armenia to educate people about fashion available to them. Style Fashion Week aims to help create an infrastructure connected to the design and textile manufacturing companies leading to better economic status and progress. In due course, more information will be released.
