Insights
Describe the perfect evening.
Good food, good conversation, somewhere with a vibe but not so loud you can't hear each other. I'm not big on over-planned nights -- some of the best ones just happen. End the night with a walk or a drink somewhere quiet and I'm happy.
Describe your perfect weekend.
Honestly, a perfect weekend is pretty simple. Saturday I'm up early, get a workout in, maybe take the bike out or explore somewhere new. Evening is a good dinner, good company, good conversation. Sunday is slower -- farmers market, coffee, something low key. I recharge on Sundays so I can go hard all week
Do you believe in love at first sight?
I think you know pretty fast. Maybe not love, but something , a pull, a comfort, a curiosity. That part I believe in.
How many kids would you like to have?
2
How important is someone's physical appearance to you?
Physical attraction is real and I think it's important to be honest about that. I'm not looking for a model, I'm looking for someone who takes care of themselves and feels good in their own skin. That's attractive.
If you could have one super power, what would it be and why?
fly
What is the purpose of marriage?
At its best? A real partnership. Someone who's got your back, makes the good times better and the hard times easier. I believe in it when it's right. I've just learned not to rush it.
What is the most important lesson that you've learned?
Don't waste time on people or situations that require you to be someone you're not. Life's too short and you figure that out faster than you'd like.
What do your friends like about you most?
That I'm reliable, direct, and I always know a good place to eat. Probably also that I'm a little too honest sometimes -- but they'd rather have that than someone who tells them what they want to hear
What do your friends tease you about the most?
I'm the person who says 'let's just wing it' and then quietly has a plan. I don't need everything scheduled, I just like knowing there's a good option ready if we need it.
What gets on your nerves?
People who don't follow through. Say what you mean, do what you say. It's really not complicated
What is the most important thing in a relationship?
Feeling like you're on the same team. Not agreeing on everything -- that's not realistic -- but knowing that when things get hard, you're both facing it together instead of at each other
What's the best age to get married?
Old enough to know who you are, young enough to still be willing to grow. I didn't have that figured out as early as I thought I did -- and I think most people would say the same if they're being honest.
What turns you off?
People who don't follow through. And bad manners
What turns you on?
A woman who's direct, has her own thing going on, and can hold a real conversation. Bonus points if she has strong opinions about food
