looking for a nice Armenian girl
I am a friendly Armenian-American guy who loves the Armenian community and church, and my heritage. By profession I am a HS history teacher. I am active at St. John's Armenian Church in Detroit where I grew up in the ACYOA. I have been briefly at seminary (that didn't work out) and am currently a subdeacon serving the altar. I enjoy reading, old movies, and especially Armenian folk music - I sing, play oud and clarinet. I am looking for a nice Armenian girl who is family oriented and religious. Describe the perfect evening.
Could be a lot of things if you mean a date I would say have a nice dinner and go to one of the jazz clubs hear live music and have some drinks. If you mean in general there's nothing better than an old school Armenian kef/hantes (dance with live band)
Describe your perfect weekend.
there are many things, either spending time with cousins at my grandfathers cottage on Lake Huron, going to another city seeing the city, friends there and going to a kef as mentioned above, going camping or some other outdoor activity, whatever it is as long as you spend time with friends and cousins.
The best weekend possible would be something like going to Boston, going in a rowboat on the Charles River during the day eat dinner in the Italian section the North End I think it's called and going to a kef dance at night.
Do you believe in love at first sight?
no, I am very romantic, but I think you have to know the person really well. even if you think it is love at first sight you might get to know each other and it isn't. Hey, it's great in a movie!!!!!
How many kids would you like to have?
Around 3
How important is someone's physical appearance to you?
beauty is in the eye of the beholder, if I think a girl is pretty I don't care what others think or say, I mean you don't have to look like a model...
If you could have one super power, what would it be and why?
Go back in time
What is the purpose of marriage?
To support each other through good times and bad especially on an emotional level and also to start a family.
What is the most important lesson that you've learned?
Don't worry so much it will get you nothing
What do your friends like about you most?
Honesty and integrity... also I always make time for my good friends even if I am busy
What do your friends tease you about the most?
I always tell stories that go on forever, much like my answers to these questions :)
What gets on your nerves?
People being arrogant or mean especially if it's for no reason
What is the most important thing in a relationship?
Being there for the other person
What's the best age to get married?
Whenever you are ready preferably when you are young enough to still have children. Probably around 28 or 30 is the best time although I'm past that.
What turns you off?
Moodiness, b*tchiness, cold responses and cold attitude.... but, everyone is like that sometimes. But the worst is too much sarcasm, snide comments, snobbiness, looking down on the other person - usually these don't change. Anyone who is too materialistic and shallow.
What turns you on?
"sweetheart" personality (warm, kind, and caring etc), intelligence, optimistic, likes to laugh, and Armenian dancing skills ;)
What do you hope to be doing five years from now?
Teaching high school AP history classes and playing with my Armenian band in my spare time.
